Privacy Policy

MacroDine ("the app") is published by Eternal Pulse Apps ("we," "us"). We designed MacroDine to be local-first: it works without an account, and your personal data stays on your device unless a specific feature you turn on needs to send it elsewhere. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Information stored on your device
The following is created and stored only on your iPhone (using Apple's on-device storage) and is not transmitted to us:
- Your profile: goal, body stats you enter, dietary preferences, and your calculated macro targets.
- Your order history, saved orders, streaks, and achievements.
We do not operate accounts and have no server that stores this information. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
Menu Scan (Premium)
When you use Menu Scan, the photo(s) you capture are sent to our AI processing provider, OpenRouter, and the underlying model providers it routes the request to, solely to read the menu and estimate item macros. These photos are transmitted for processing and are handled under those providers' policies; we do not use them to identify you and we do not store them on our own servers. Only use Menu Scan on menus, and avoid capturing people or personal information in the frame.
Apple Health (optional)
If you enable "Sync to Apple Health," MacroDine writes the calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat of orders you log into Apple Health. We only write this data; we do not read your Health data, and it stays within Apple Health on your device under Apple's control. You can turn this off at any time in the app's Settings or in the iOS Health app, and revoke permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account; we never receive your payment card details. To manage subscriptions and to verify your entitlement, we use RevenueCat (subscription management) and Superwall (paywall presentation). These services process a random app-generated identifier and your subscription status — not your name, email, or contacts. See RevenueCat's and Superwall's privacy policies.
Location (optional)
If you use "Nearby," MacroDine asks for permission to access your device location while you use the app to find restaurants around you. Your location is used on-device to sort results and is not collected or stored by us. You can decline or revoke this in iOS Settings.
What we do not do
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking. The app does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or precise identity.
Children
MacroDine is rated 4+ but is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Turn Apple Health sync and Location off in Settings at any time.
- Delete the app to erase all locally stored data.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
